Made in Italy
Through the Lens of Stamps

A journey through Italian excellence for the National Made in Italy Day

15–26 April 2026
Luiss Guido Carli – Viale Romania 32 Campus, Rome

On the occasion of the National Made in Italy Day, Luiss Guido Carli, Luiss Business School and Poste Italiane present the exhibition “Made in Italy Through the Lens of Stamps”.

The initiative offers an original perspective on Italian excellence through postage stamps, objects that preserve and convey, across time, the cultural, economic and social identity of the country. The exhibition will be inaugurated on 15 April 2026 and will remain open until 26 April at the Luiss Campus in Viale Romania 32, welcoming students, the wider community and visitors.

Telling the story of Made in Italy through philately

The exhibition is developed in collaboration with Poste Italiane – Philately, partner of the initiative, which has curated an exhibition pathway dedicated to philatelic issues that, over the years, have celebrated companies, institutions, territories and symbols of Italian excellence.

Postage stamps are markers of public memory, capable of narrating the country’s economic, social and cultural evolution.

Through enlarged reproductions of stamps dedicated to Made in Italy, the exhibition creates a visual narrative that spans different sectors—from industry to culture and territorial heritage—offering a broad and coherent interpretation of Italian identity.

Iconic objects and the narrative of Italian excellence

Alongside the philatelic issues, the exhibition is enriched by the presence of representative objects linked to the subjects portrayed on the stamps, kindly provided by the companies, institutions and organisations involved in the project.

These elements contribute to making the narrative more concrete and tangible, placing the symbolic language of philately in dialogue with the material expression of Italian excellence.

The exhibition thus takes shape as a collective portrait of Italy’s productive and cultural landscape, where the postage stamp becomes a starting point for exploring stories of innovation, creativity and identity.

Opening on 15 April and temporary philatelic service

The exhibition will be inaugurated on 15 April 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the Luiss Campus.

On this occasion, a temporary philatelic service will be available, featuring a special cancellation dedicated to the National Made in Italy Day.

Visitors, students and enthusiasts will have the opportunity to stamp postcards and philatelic materials created specifically for the event.

Philatelic service opening hours
15, 18 and 19 April, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Workshop: “Philately Across Eras, Languages and Generations”

Aula Toti, Viale Romania Campus, 23 April | 6:30–7:30 p.m.

A journey spanning over 160 years of communication, exploring how postage stamps have narrated the transformation of society and its languages.

From the origins of postal systems to contemporary expressions, the workshop examines philately as a lens through which to understand cultural and communicative evolution.

A path through history, innovation and generations, offering insight into how the ways we connect people, ideas and places continue to change.

Register for the workshop by completing the form below and discover how the communication of a small postage stamp evolves, crosses generations and continues to connect the world.

University, culture and enterprise

The exhibition stems from the collaboration between Luiss, Luiss Business School and Poste Italiane, with the aim of promoting Made in Italy as both a cultural and productive heritage.

The initiative brings together universities, institutions and the business community, creating a space for dialogue and exchange open to the wider public and the local area.

The contribution of Luiss Business School

A distinctive element of the project is the direct involvement of students from the Master’s programme in Art Management at Luiss Business School, who, under the guidance of Poste Italiane’s design team, contributed to the development of the exhibition.

Their work has reinterpreted the language of philately in a contemporary key, making the narrative more accessible and engaging.
